Anyone know why I can't actually make the box "allow third party..." on this site get a nice happy little check mark in it?

Not sure if it helps you to know this, but that script crashed on my computer when I tried to load it. Maybe they messed something up?

I mean the page wouldn't even fully load for me when I clicked on the link. I kept getting an error that something on the page stopped working, and eventually I gave up on it.

I tried it just now and it worked fine for me. Actually, the page came up with that box already checked, but I was able to uncheck it and then check it again with no problems.

Which doesn't really help you much, I'm afraid.
