So not kidding.

Who wants to co-mod a Flan community with me?

SGA authors come up with some freaking fantastic sentences about Sheppard's hair, and a one-a-day (probably less frequent but still regular) quote thing must be an interesting idea to more people than just me, right?

... Right?

Or, I could be insane.  *cough*

But really, I would be up for it.

AND SPEAKING OF INSANE:

How are Sean Maher and Matthew Bomer not long lost brothers?

ALSO:

What is the difference between a crossover and a fusion? I have a vague idea but am not really sure.

The hair is popular, but I'm not sure if the fandom is big enough to support another John/JFlan community. What would it entail exactly, anyway?

Simply put, in a crossover two canons collide, and in a fusion one canon serves as only a backdrop to the other canon's characters.

I dunno that a quote a day is do-able? Maybe picspam plus icons plus...hmmm....

Yeah, crossovers. Like, (sadly) I'm doing a lot of fusions for my art bingo card in which the SGA cast become the crossover characters because it's easier funnier to draw John and Rodney as Kirk and Spock rather than meeting Kirk and Spock, which would be a regular old crossover. But a fusion is a kind of crossover. Just to confuse things.

Ah. I get your idea better. Even though I can't think of any John hair comments off the top of my head (hee...top of my head).

Anyway, for my ST reboot I'm just drawing the SGA cast in the new costumes and positioned on the bridge of the Enterprise to show that Rodney stepped into the role of Spock, Zelenka is Chekov, or however I decide to do that. I think artwork is easier or at least different from fic in that I don't have to consider much more than a momentary comedic effect or whatever I'm going for.

But actually I'm working on a High School Musical fusion right now (no srsly) and the SGA cast is singing and dancing in the cafeteria and admitting their secret hobbies, a la the "Go With the Flow" song from the movie. But the scene is on Atlantis, so it's a fusion. I guess.

Crossovers involve characters from a different fandom crossing over into another, whereas I think fusions are just a cross-over of ideas. Like, if we found out Sheppard was actually a wizard in the way that the people in the Harry Potter series are wizards, but those people or related schools are never mentioned, that would be a an SGA/Harry Potter fusion.

Sidenote: I once read a fic where John actually was Harry Potter all grown up and run away, and that was just about the weirdest thing.
