rant (and a bit of a spoiler for NCIS 8x01)

Okay people. He's lost weight again.

But everyone can stop freaking out, I think. Yes, it's a big change, especially from when he was first on the show, but people on another site were saying he looked like he had cancer and accusing him of being anorexic. Urg. No.

Yeah, his neck looks long... but the man just has a long neck. People are built differently. It's not a thinner neck than Brian Dietzen's. Yes, he looks rather twinkish and would probably benefit from some muscle definition. But look how happy he looks - not ill.

I just don't like how we have such narrow minded views of how people should look.

The same comments are made about Joe Flanigan.

I myself even looked at the S5 promos and thought "Wow! He's lost weight compared to previous seasons and looks skinny" and in truth he is skinnier than most men. However after meeting him it is obvious that that is just how he is and it suits him and he said that he doesn't like carrying more weight as he gets tired and makes him feel run down.

Sean has probably found the same, that losing the weight has given him more energy and during a hectic and busy schedule, that is probably a blessing.

As long as Sean is happy - then people should leave him alone and just be happy he is having fun and working.

Yeah! I agree about the suiting re: the Flan.

Maybe it just didn't help that McGee was supposed to be travel-rumpled, and he'll seem more upbeat in later eps. I definitely had the same thought about the energy and an actor's schedule.

I still say it's unfair for a man (Joe Flanigan) to be that gorgeous! And he isn't skinny; he's slim and athletic. David Hewlett has lost a lot of weight, and nobody says he's ill. He looks great.

I think that Sean looks fine. I'd say that losing the weight was his choice and I'm sure he's fine. Although when I watch NCIS I'm usually pretty focused on Michael Weatherly.

When I was in the meet and greet with Joe in Vancouver in April at first I was just so nervous being in the same room with him (and 9 other people) that I could hardly breathe. He is even more gorgeous in person, slouching in his chair and drinking coffee and looking all rumpled. He is thin but I've been around people who run regularly and I think he's got that kind of athletic body. The tight jeans didn't hurt either.

He really does have a runner's build. I just saw him in Chicago last month and he was lovely. Tight jeans \o/!

I actually wasn't nervous at all. He was so at ease that all my nerves just vanished.

And mmmm tight jeans.

Nothing coherent to say, just mmmmmm.

Wow, I missed the season opener, and he's skinny now! Not that there's anything wrong with that. He does look twinky-ish.

Yeah, it's such a big change from when he first started!
