Cam thought / Rodney thought / fic thought
Today I watched "Uninvited". I'm watching these eps the first time (re-runs on a cable channel). This was the first time I got to see Cam in civvies. I do believe he looks much better out of uniform. Apparently, looking at the episode list, I get to watch "200" tomorrow. This should be fun! I am looking forward to seeing these eps in this season for the first time.
I also saw Quentin Tarantino on Craig Ferguson just now. I am convinced that Rodney McKay has a crush on him. He talks quickly and with his hands, you get the sense that his brain just is always on the go, and he kinda looks like Hewlett. I think, although Rodney has his self-confidence issues, he also is narcissistic enough to like those characteristics, and I think he'd totally go for them in someone else.
Alternatively, I could be crazy.
My last post talked about how I wanted to write John/Atlantis or Chair!Fic (yeah, in my mind, Chair!Fic and John/Atlantis aren't necessarily the same.. I also make distinctions between AU and AR, but anyway...) and last night I DID! I will post it as soon as I can. It was so much easier to write than my WIP, which makes me think that I need really good prompts, and/or need to write more characterization and less action. I'm thinking the latter had a lot to do with the difference in these two. Makes me think about scrapping what I've got on my WIP (which isn't a lot compared to how much it probably will be when done) and re-writing it in a very different style. I think I may have a lot more fun that way.

Minimum word count goal! I should do that. I think it would help my fic as well as my motivation in life overall. I get overwhelmed pretty easily, heh. Now there is a sign at my computer that says WIP 100 WORDS. Thanks! :-D Hopefully I will be able to stick with it. 100 words really doesn't sound bad at all, as long as I can do it without the constant need to edit as I go! :)
I am glad that you can see the difference too! The way you put it is a really good way of doing so. You've got me thinking more about it, and I think that, in the fandom stuff I have read, the Chair is more like a prop, where Atlantis itself is more about John's connection to the city. (By prop I mean like "oh there are two gene carriers in the same chair, whooo sexxorz! Which is not a bad thing! Just wanted to go in the other direction with my stuff.)
Thanks for being my first comment :-D
