Forever


A dream within a dream within a dreaming
The mind a stage to build a world upon
He trusts himself no longer for creating
And so has taught another one to build

With his friend by his side to fight the demons
Others are brought to dream the dreams with them
A man with many faces for pretending
A man with potions integral to dreams

His own dream is to see their smiling faces
His children more than memories to hold
So for the sake of this he risks a falling
Into a land where dreaming never dies

His love’s a shade, a haunting deep in his heart
For daughter’s and for son’s sake followed not
And for as long as he lives he’ll remember
While years upon the endless years shall pass

!!! *beams* I really like how you use 'dream' in its multiple definitions, how you show the progression of a hero's journey and Cobb's love for his kids. Awww, this is great.
