Crossovers are welcome as long as it makes sense for the characters to be in the same universe as each other. Rare pairings are awesome, het is okay but probably won't work for porny things, and evil or alternate universe versions of sci-fi characters and dream/projection/weird versions of Inception characters are fun.

Woah. So as I was going to bed I was thinking about this and it turned into a huge story in my head. Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to write it all right now but I will give you some backstory and then write a scene from it after I figure out some particulars... um also it's entirely possible I will be photoshopping a puddlejumper schematic for use with this. I had a great time last night thinking of all of this, tankoo :)

Question for you! If John is really upset would Cam ever use a term of endearment for him and if so which would he use?

Oh, I'd say he would. I feel like 'baby' slips out of Cam's mouth more than he'd like to admit, but something like 'darlin'' or 'sweetheart' might be more appropriate in this context.

And rather sad is fine with me :)

Part 1

Cam arrived home just as another car was leaving. He spotted the logo of the pizza place he used to use all the time before John showed up. Normally if John didn't cook it's because they had leftovers to eat but apparently today was different. Pizza was good, and Cam didn't start to worry until he went inside and saw John's face.

John was unhappy, it was easy to tell. He barely said a word as they ate dinner despite Cam's attempts, just listened to what Cam said about his day at work. John's quiet was accompanied by a nervous energy - a sure sign he had something to say to Cam that he didn't want to or know how to to say. Cam knew the best approach was usually to not push, and John would tell him in time. But he couldn't stop wondering what had happened while the base had been on lockdown.


Part 2

Doppelgangers are no good, Cam.

I saw one, yesterday....

A boy from Pegasus. I just left the groceries in the aisle and ran away, Cam - I couldn't take it; it was like he saw right inside me and he knew everything, he knew I'd killed him and -

Breathe, John. It's gonna to be okay.

No! It won't. They made me choose - between him and my team! Three people, important to a city that's important to a galaxy, but he was a child! So young... and I'd convinced myself I'd made the right choice but it didn't stop the nightmares, didn't stop me from seeing the blood on my hands. But you make hard choices, you know? Except when he looked at me, I didn't just see the blood, I could smell it. Could hear him screaming for his mother over and over before I slit his throat. And I just... living with myself, with that inside....

Don't blame yourself, baby. You didn't choose to put that boy in that situation. You were responsible for your team and you brought them home safe.

Yeah, sure. I know. My problem isn't... isn't that I decided to do it, but....

But?

That I'm absolutely certain I'd do it again if I had to.
