WIP 2/? H50/SGA fusion - Away From This Place
I thought that the sex was going to be in the second/last part. Turns out the second part isn't the last part and also contains no sex. Or much of any action. But there's a party?
Normally I don't post WIPs, and I could wait to post until there's more, except for some reason this one isn't working that way. I do plan to do a compilation post because sometimes it can be odd to read WIPs in individual parts.
part 1
This part: 348 words, PG

The party on the mainland hit full swing about two hours ago. So okay, maybe the whole planet's been partying for the last week, but this is the official party everyone was required to attend, and that's the problem - he doesn't want to be here. It's lovely, it really is, but Danny just wants to go back to his quarters and not get out of bed for about five years.
He's glad the Wraith are defeated and he knows everyone deserves a celebration. His current bad mood isn't about not appreciating that and it isn't about a lost family either, but about exhaustion. Months of nonstop fighting have left everybody tired, but. His unit and a couple others just came back to the city this morning from a three-day unrelated mission and he barely had time to shower before being informed of the mandatory party.
Other people from the mission seem to look okay, though. McGarrett, Kono, Malia... maybe he's just getting old.
Which, yeah. That thought isn't exactly making him feel any better.

Steve was happy. And horny. Explosions and rescues and breaking out of prisons kind of did that to him. Right now he was content to soak up the atmosphere, people singing old Athosian songs and stomping their feet, others dancing around the bonfires, and lots of people drinking.
And lots of smiles, lit by the flickering light and heartclenchingly beautiful.
He can only see one person by themselves; Steve recognizes Williams by the back of his head, his non-regulation hair a dead giveaway. Steve's contentment flies out the window as he finds something he wants.
He reminds himself to think of him as Danny, as was requested of him the last time they talked. Over the past few months he's seen Danny open up a bit, and Steve's enjoyed working with him and having him join the group that hangs out during downtime.
He makes his way to where Danny's sitting, just a bit outside the main cluster of activities, and says hi.
