Requesting (it would actually be a big help) Inception prompts.

I know there are seven thousand unfilled meme prompts right here but. I've always had this thing where when people prompt me specifically it really helps get things flowing. But it's more than wanting things to flow... it's thinking that things otherwise might be stuck absolutely completely, instead of the normal less-flow.

Because I look at those prompts and. And I've tried to write things. But I think it actually may be impossible for me to write Inception stuff. I don't know why! I've never tried to write for a movie fandom so that might be it. Or it could be these characters. I just don't know, but something does NOT feel right.

So, um, it's possible that your prompts might not actually get written. But it could be that I end up writing something due to the extra oomph I get from having specific prompts people need me to write for. If any of this makes sense. But yes, having prompts here will really help me figure out if I can in fact write in this fandom.

Feel free to request whatever - PWPs, gen, het (het?! yes), lots of dream angst and hurty bleedy death, fluffy things, cuddly things, movie and not-movie things... I'll try my best :)

I will be being thinky about this for you. I have tons of unfilled Inception prompts I'd love to see but don't know which you would feel suited to doing. Like angst stuff-- I know I'll never write it, but I bet you could make it awesome. The one where one of them dies in one of the levels but they don't know it's a dream and they figure out they love each other and HOMG so much angst and then they wake up? I COULD NOT DO THAT ONE, but I bet you could and then you would make people cry and cry and it would be brilliant.

Honestly when it comes to this fandom I don't know what I'm suited to writing either. Although I have had a good track record with angst before. The one you mentioned does sound pretty neat.

You could give me a few different ones maybe? If they're prompts from the kink meme it would be awesome if you posted the entire prompt here but then added a link to the prompt on the meme as well - that way I can stay here and focused but then if I end up writing something I can post it there too.

Maybe not a prompt, per se, but something you might be able to work with..

What does Fischer think when he wakes up and realizes that he's had this dream - these dreams - that feature the people sitting around him? He's been trained to defend against extraction, but doesn't he find it a little odd that his subconscious chose to include these strangers as his protectors in the dream? Does he suspect anything?

I guess that's a little rambly... sorry. If I were to sum it up/shorten it, I'd probably say: in the end, after everything, did it even work?

Robert wakes with a vague unhappiness settled in his chest. By the time the feelings have coalesced into a fully-remembered dream he’s in the lobby of the airport, baggage claim and customs behind him.

He isn’t one to confuse dreams with reality. He always knows where he is as soon as he awakes, and he always remembers if something didn’t happen in real life.

Until now?

Because right now he isn’t certain that his memory can be trusted, as the faces on the plane blur together with the figures in a dream that he somehow knows will haunt him forever.

Robert feels lost. A bit disconnected from reality. He can’t remember if a driver is here to pick him up or if he’s supposed to use a car in the airport’s long-term storage. He thinks he should call someone but the thought of getting out his phone is too much.

There is nowhere else to go but out, and as he stands on the sidewalk the breeze whips through his hair and makes him think of standing in a field of pinwheels instead.

A car moves slowly past. Robert sees the face of Mister Charles in the window; the strong profile takes him back to his dream, back to the bar and the bathroom and a gun in his hand.

He starts to wonder what they took from his mind.

Oh, very nice! I like the last line, because he's right to be worried, but he has no idea what they've actually done.

Porn! Um, Arthur/Eames, sure. Yes, mhmm. :D Anything with them is awesome. Like stuff that happens in dreamspace that nobody else knows about 'cause it's just them there, and then they wake up all sweaty and hot and bothered, and nobody knows why...

Fic isn't really working but I'll give you a summary thingie:

Like, Dom and Mal and Arthur and Eames are all practicing for a job, and him and Mal are partners and Arthur and Eames are partners, and they go off two seperate ways. And Mal and Dom are like, doing their job and running through the maze or whatever and Arthur and Eames start to go do some other stuff but then Eames is thin and hot and Arthur can't help himself and pushes Eames up against the nearest wall and -

And when they all wake up Dom looks at Eames' and Arthur's pants and is all "DUDES. Stop having wet dreams in my subconsious."

LOL, I'm looking back over that and I totally did not mean for "thin" to be so.. like, you can only be hot if you are thin. I meant to put other things like he was sweating from running and that was awesome looking, or something.. LOL. I do have a thing for Tom Hardy a bit thinner than he was in Inception but it just sounds so awkward up there. Oh well.
