Name three fics you think I will never, ever, ever write. In return, I will attempt to write a snippet of one of them.

Doesn't have to be crack, either... at the moment I'm feeling like I'm never going to write het, even though I've got that planned for my SOS big bang thingie. (Speaking of which, I am going to write snippets in reply to this meme as a reward for writing some of the SOS story, which has a deadline I have heretofore been largely ignoring. I probably have around 1k words written for the 20k word requirement. I'd done done most of the thinky bits, and could have been losing some motivation but probably it is just that I have been suffereing from even less energy than normal. I think this coming week should be good. (In other news! Muahahaa. Tentacles, anyone? I'm quite proud of how those turned out :-) IN OTHER OTHER NEWS I KEEP DREAMING ABOUT MAKING STARGATE CHARACTERS DISAPOINTED and I do not know why.))

Happy Valentine's Day! To celebrate, I have a manip of a photo of Jennifer Garner as Sydney Bristow in Alias. Sydney is such a strong woman. Yes, she has the physical strength to kick just about anybody's butt, but there's more. She has such an inner strength. It doesn't mean that she isn't affected by the bad things in her life, but it does mean that she fights to try to overcome those things and to live her life in the best way she knows how.

I thought it would be fitting to share this manip today. Valentine's Day can be about couples and romance and flowers, but I feel that it can also be about loving and being good to yourself. So often we engage in negative self-talk and put ourselves down, and today especially can be painful for people who feel they don't fit certain expectations. But my prayer is that today we can celebrate who we are, celebrate life and being strong, and that we can find some unconditional love in our hearts for ourselves.

Brush Strokes is a rated G gen fic, and it was written for me for

sga_santa ! I was so pleased to receive this story - it's a wonderful character study about Lorne, and a beautiful glimpse into life "behind the scenes" on Atlantis. Unfortunately the author is still anonymous at this point so I can't tell you who wrote it, but I'm excited to be able to find out later.

The other two fics I'd like to recommend come from

kellifer_fic in response to prompts. In the first one, Rodney is a little mean, but things turn out all right for Lorne in the end! In the second fic, Lorne has a Christmas-related misunderstanding, involving structurally unsound Ancient furniture and a strategically placed bit of mistletoe.

Hi all! I made a manip of John Sheppard for Christmas to share with everyone for the holidays!

I know that they don't exactly fit a correct aspect ratio but I provided a variety of sizes so you can choose the one that fits closest. These are available to use on your computers as desktops etc.

Here are four icons made from the manip - two older versions I shared as previews over here a little while ago, as well as two improved versions.

These are sharable but please credit and refrain from editing, thanks much.

I also wanted to show-off my new layout. The header, made from the above manip, is non-sharable but I will make one for you if you want - let me know size and what, if anything, you would like it to say.

Finally, from another source pic, I made these icons.

I know everyone's made icons from screencaps of David Hewlett in that costume already, but I have wanted to for a while. And instead of Cupid, I am calling it a Christmas angel. :-D Same guidelines for taking as with the above icons.
